It’s official, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are over. The couple announced their separation in August, and after trying for four months to make it work, they filed for divorce on Dec. 1, according to The Blast.

Luckily, a source says that the duo is keeping this super amicable. They’re seeking joint custody of their son Jack, and they’re planning for a “very simple separation of assets.” They will reportedly have a private settlement and it will all be “very clean.”

The duo definitely didn’t go down without a fight. In August, sources revealed exclusively to Life & Style that Chris and Anna had started couples’ therapy and were secretly trying to work out their problems. “It’s the first time they’ve ever been in counseling together and it only happened after they split,” an insider revealed. “They have committed to it. They are trying to keep the pressure low by doing it out of the spotlight, but there is still a lot of love between them.”

At the time of their split, the Hollywood duo released a statement, writing, “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other very much and will always cherish our time together.”

It seems that love is what’s motivating Chris, 38, and Anna, 40, to save their marriage — but it will not be easy. “It’s been very intense, with Anna discussing how she feels isolated with Chris gone so much of the time and her career taking a backseat,” adds the insider. “Chris gets frustrated because Anna is in the industry, too, and knew the commitments involved when she married him.”

Recently, Anna opened up about the split on her podcast Unqualified and revealed she made some mistakes in her relationship with the Guardians of the Galaxy actor. “Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back or somebody doesn’t fully value you,” she said. “Don’t be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right.”
