Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn Are ‘Celebrating’ Their Pregnancy ‘Privately’: They’re ‘On Cloud 9’
Baby on the way! Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, are pregnant with their first child and are absolutely “on cloud nine” about the happy news. “Ed and Cherry have been celebrating privately, with family and close friends,” an insider exclusively tells Life & Style.
“Even though Cherry’s due date is coming up, they don’t see the point in making a big announcement until the timing is right,” the source adds, noting the longtime loves have a lot keeping them occupied until then. “They’re busy preparing for their bundle of joy and have just completed the nursery. Ed’s even added some musical touches to it and can’t wait to buy the baby its first guitar!”
The “A-Team” singer, 29, and his wife, 28, started dating in July 2015 — but they met years prior in middle school and were pals growing up. The guitarist revealed their engagement on Instagram in January 2018 and the pair wed the following January. Clearly, their connection is so strong, they’re not worried about embarking into parenthood during such an uncertain time in the world.
“Ed and Cherry aren’t stressing over becoming first-time parents during a pandemic. They’re both very easy going and are taking it all in their stride,” the insider gushes. “Ed’s taken some time off to spend time with Cherry and the baby. He doesn’t want to miss out on any of the milestones and will definitely be a hands-on dad.”
The four-time Grammy Award winner has been vocal about his desire to build out his brood with his leading lady since before their engagement. “I’m ready, let’s go — tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around,” he told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe in January 2017.
During the same interview, Ed revealed how deep his feelings went for his future wife. “This has been the first time I’ve ever actually had the time to fall in love properly,” the musician raved. “I’ve always got into relationships very passionately — I’m a redhead and also Irish.”
While Cherry and Ed have yet to officially announce their pregnancy or confirm Cherry’s due date, it’s speculated that she’s due sometime this summer.
