“I will say, it was a very different ending than we’ve ever seen of this show,” she told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on April 4, 2025. “It feels more emotional.”

Parker Posey, who played Victoria Ratliff in season 3, was heartbroken over the death in the finale episode, revealing to EW that she cried after racing through the script to find out who met their maker.

However, he knows deep down that the death will still anger some people.

“I’m always going to get people who are mad,” Mike explained. “I remember last season, halfway through, they were like, ‘They don’t know what to do with Jennifer Coolidge,’ and I’m like, ‘Just shut the f–k up.’ And then they were mad that she died!”

While a number of fans think villainous Gary/Greg, played by John Gries, will die in the season finale, the actor teased he might be around for more stays at a White Lotus resort in seasons to come depending on Mike White’s plans.

“I hope he … I hope he … you know, has a good ending for me somewhere,” John told Jimmy Kimmel during a March 27, 2025, appearance on his ABC late-night talk show. He added, “I dunno, maybe this year, you never know.”

Two days ahead of the finale airing, John warned to The Hollywood Reporter on April 4, 2025, “It is shocking — absolutely, mouth-agape shocking,” about the season 3 finale.

‘The White Lotus’ Viewers Are in for a ‘Surprise’ Finale

“I fancy myself a pretty good sleuth. Law & Order was my bread and butter growing up,” Natasha Rothwell, who plays massage therapist Belinda Lindsey told TVLine on March 25, 2205. “Even though I was reading the scripts, and I think I know where it’s going, had no idea. I think audiences are going to be so surprised,” she confessed.

Natasha gave creator and writer Mike White credit for being able to weave the various characters into each other’s storylines during the final two episodes of season 3.

“Mike’s a weaver, right? So, there are all these glorious threads that are dangling throughout, and they come together in a way that’s just so exciting. He’s singular. No one can do what he does,” she gushed to the publication.

The Final ‘White Lotus’ Episodes Are ‘Bonkers’

Patrick Schwarzenegger — who plays Saxon Ratliff — said the final two episodes of season 3 “are some of the best TV I’ve ever watched,” during an appearance on Drew Barrymore‘s daytime talk show on March 25, 2025.

“It gets bonkers,” he teased. “I mean, I’m biased – but I’m also not, because I’m a huge fan of the show.”

Patrick’s Saxon has already had an incestuous threesome with his younger brother Lochlan (Sam Nivola) so it’s hard to imagine how much more “bonkers” things can get for the siblings.

Who Dies in the Finale Won’t be Predictable

“Mike White doesn’t do justice,” Jason Isaacs, who plays Timothy Ratliff, teased about who dies in the final episode of season 3 to Variety in a March 24, 2025, interview. He made sure to stress the word “justice.”

“He’s not Agatha Christie, it’s not like the person who we want to die will die by popular vote. He does whatever he finds interesting,” the actor added.
