Perhaps the most difficult part of ending a marriage — especially when there are children involved — is meeting your ex’s new flame. It can either be totally chill or totally awful. Fortunately for Channing Tatum, Jessie J and Jenna Dewan, it’s the former. “I’ve heard that Jessie and Jenna have already met. It wasn’t any big deal,” a source exclusively dished to Life & Style of the pair’s first face-to-face encounter.
“Channing was dropping off Everly to Jenna and Jessie was in the car,” they continued. Phew! That must have been a huge sigh of relief for the hunky actor, 40. After all, considering he and Jenna, 38, coparent little Everly, 5, it’s important that everyone involved her life gets along smoothly.
“They said hello to each other and mostly chatted about Everly,” the source continued. “Jessie complimented her on raising such a sweet little girl and Jenna said she appreciated her kindness towards her daughter. It was all very short and cordial, like it should be.”
Considering Jenna has a new beau of her own, we’re not entirely surprised to hear that she was receptive toward the “Masterpiece” singer, 31. In fact, Jenna’s relationship with boyfriend Steve Kazee is getting pretty serious. “Things are going so well that they’re already living together,” an additional insider told Life & Style.
“He’s great with Everly and that’s encouraging to Jenna, who’d like a couple more kids when the time’s right,” the insider gushed. Speaking of more kids, Channing’s ladylove would also like to start a family in the near future. The best part? He’s on board.
“Channing doesn’t play the field. He’s a one-woman guy and he’s found that woman in Jessie,” said the insider. “He’s ready to take their relationship to the next level.” Well, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Let Channing and Jenna be a lesson that there *is* life after a breakup.
