<p><span></span>Since <a href="http://dynamic.bauerpublishing.com/mt-search.fcgi?blog_id=2&tag=heidi klum&limit=20&IncludeBlogs=2"><strong>Heidi Klum</strong></a> announced her separation from her husband, <a href="http://dynamic.bauerpublishing.com/mt-search.fcgi?blog_id=2&tag=seal&limit=20&IncludeBlogs=2"><strong>Seal</strong></a>, there has been widespread speculation that she's having second thoughts.</p>

But a friend of the Victoria’s Secret model says Heidi was right to go with her instincts.

“She’s a very strong lady,” Nina Garcia, a judge on Heidi’s series Project Runway, tells Life & Style. “I’m sure she’s doing the right thing.”

“She’s really well,” Nina added on Feb. 10 at the NAHM presentation at Milk Studios during New York Fashion Week. “She looks great.”

Another pal of Heidi’s, model Coco Rocha, echoed those sentiments.

“She’s amazing!” Coco told Life & Style at the Rebecca Minkoff show. “She looks beautiful.”

At the AmfAR Gala in NYC on Feb. 8, Heidi made her first red-carpet appearance since announcing her separation — and she made sure to enjoy the evening.

“I saw her [there],” Nina adds. “She had a great party!”

Although Heidi, 38, and Seal, 48, continue wear their wedding bands, the couple called it quits in January after nearly seven years of marriage. They have three biological children (sons Henry, 6, and Johan, 5, and a daughter, Lou, 2) and in 2009, Seal adopted, Leni, 7, Heidi’s daughter from her first marriage.
