TikTok Influencer Halley Kate Flies from NYC to Michigan to Adopt 4th Dachshund Pup
TikTok influencer Halley Kate McGookin’s family just got a little bit bigger!
The dachshund lover, who goes by Halley Kate online, has officially welcomed a fourth pup to her pack.
On November 22, McGookin posted a TikTok making the announcement to her followers.
In the TikTok, she reminded followers of her journey last year where she traveled to the same Michigan rescue to adopt a blind dachshund named Rusty that she saw up for adoption on TikTok.
This year, the same fellow creator who had posted the TikTok about Rusty being available for adoption texted McGookin to let her know they had a new dachshund in the same SPCA.
“Olivia texted me that they just got this dog into the SPCA and she’s available for adoption,” McGookin explained in the video. “You guys obviously know where this is going. I just booked my flights to Michigan, and we’re going to get her. Let’s go!”
McGookin then inserted video footage of her and her boyfriend, Reed, getting on their flight from New York City to Michigan and driving to the SPCA.
Once at the SPCA, McGookin got the chance to meet and hold the dog before signing her adoption papers and bringing her back to her family’s home nearby.
In the caption of the video, McGookin revealed the pup’s name, saying, “We named her Roxy after the Roxy hotel in Tribeca.”
With this being McGookin’s fourth dachshund, fans were loving her commitment to adopting dogs in need and her love for the pint-sized breed.
“I cried when you got Rusty. Now I am crying about this one. We loved our doxies and miss them every day!!!! That’s one lucky baby. Congrats!!!” one fan commented on the TikTok.
“Little does she know she is in the dachshund royal family,” another fan commented.
McGookin also shared a video of her getting Roxy a pup cup for the first time as the pup began to warm up to her before their journey home to New York City.
Now, McGookin’s fans are patiently waiting for an update about how the four dogs are getting along with each other back in the city.
