TikTok Influencer Mikayla Nogueira Offers to Pay for Fans’ Thanksgiving Groceries
TikTok influencer Mikayla Nogueira is wishing her fans a happy Thanksgiving in a very special way.
The influencer, who has amassed over 17 million followers on TikTok for her makeup tutorials and lifestyle content, is giving back to her fans, just in time for the start of the holiday season.
In a new TikTok, Nogueira explained that she wants to do her part to make sure that those who are struggling financially can still enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with their loved ones.
“Next week is Thanksgiving, which, for many people, the holiday season is one of the most stressful, overwhelming, and anxiety-inducing times of year,” Nogueira said.
“I want to take that stress off your shoulders,” she continued in the video. “You should be able to enjoy Thanksgiving, so I am going to be paying for as many grocery bills as I can in the next few days leading up to Thanksgiving.”
While many influencer “giveaways” require users to follow the influencer and like their videos, Nogueira chose to forego complicated requirements in the interest of helping as many people as possible.
“All you have to do is comment on this video, you don’t have to do anything else,” Nogueira instructed in the video. “You don’t even have to be following me. I don’t care. I just wanna make sure that you and your family have the best Thanksgiving ever, and I wanna make that possible for as many people as I can.”
Nogueira then explained that she understands making the process of requesting her help so simple may attract people who aren’t truly in need, but she is trusting her online community and asking them to do the right thing.
“If you have the money, don’t comment. I feel like that’s obvious. I want to help the people who truly need it, so please do not take advantage of that,” she said.
She also cautioned her fans against scammers, explaining, “There will be scammers who are gonna try to message you on different accounts that aren’t mine, saying ‘fill out information to get money,’ that’s not me. This is only coming from me on this account.”
She then ended the video by saying she is also planning to do similar donations for Christmas, and that she is glad to be able to give back to her community.
“I want you to know I am extremely, extremely grateful for you,” Nogueira said, addressing her fans. “I’m happy you’re here, and you mean a lot to me, so I just wanna make sure I take care of you, too.”
