According to a new report, Joan is now in stable condition.

Joan Rivers was rushed to an NYC hospital after she stopped breathing during surgery on her vocal chords earlier today, a new report states.

The 81-year-old was allegedly undergoing a throat procedure at a city clinic when the complications arose.

A source explains the clinic called 911 and reportedly told the operator, “we have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest." Joan was immediately taken to Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan.

The source adds Joan's daughter, Melissa Rivers is currently en route to the east coast from Los Angeles to be by her mother’s side.
