The Hottest Baby Names Of 2018 Are Seriously Kardashian-Influenced
The Kardashians‘ influence holds no bounds and apparently, that includes what people name their children! According to BabyCenter’s annual list of most popular baby names, many of the KUWTK star’s monikers reigned supreme in 2018.
Let’s break it down, shall we? Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott named their daughter Stormi back in February. Since then, the name has risen by a whopping 63 percent. Dream, the name of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s little girl, rose 42 percent.
Even nicknames are up for grabs! Kim Kardashian affectionately calls her daughter, North, Nori and that’s up 15 percent. Speaking of, Kim is up 19 percent, as well.
As for the boys? Well, Saint, the name of Kim and Kanye West’s only son, is up 42 percent, Reign, the name of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s youngest son, is up 27 percent, and Kanye is up 22 percent.
Unfortunately, the name of Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s daughter, True, didn’t make the list! However, we think having a unique name makes her all the more special. In fact, shortly after she was born in April, Koko’s mom, Kris Jenner, explained the family importance of her new granddaughter’s name. “My grandfather’s name on my dad’s side was True Otis Houghton. My real dad’s name was Robert True Houghton. So, I am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!” the 63-year-old gushed.
Even if Kardashian names seem a little, er, quirky, at times, it’s clear that people (parents) in 2018 are loving them. TBH, we can’t wait to see what new names they come up with in the future. Bring on the babies.
