Love Is Blind’s Nick Dorka Throws Shade at Ex Hannah Jiles After Her Weight Loss: ‘Things to Work On’
Love Is Blind season 7 star Hannah Jiles may have transformed herself on the outside, but ex Nick Dorka believes she still has some changes to make on the inside.
Nick, 29, reacted to Hannah’s 75-pound weight loss during an appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast on Monday, December 2. “She does look great, she looks fantastic,” the Virginia native began. “But the thing is, I know her, I’ve seen all of her.”
He continued, “Just because you look attractive, that’s part of it. The other part is your personality and I know who she is and she has things to work on.”
Nick paired up with Hannah, 27, on Love Is Blind season 7, which premiered on Netflix in October. The former couple broke up before they made it down the aisle because Hannah thought Nick was too “immature.” However, the West Virginia native faced backlash because many fans believed she was mean and condescending while speaking to her then-fiancé.
“At times, her parents and her brother had hard times,” Nick said on the podcast. “I think she needs to do a little bit of self-reflecting, but like I said, none of us are perfect. We all have our red flags. … I think she’ll find the right person — someday — maybe.”
Hannah reflected on how she treated Nick during an October 15 appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast.
“I’ve learned a lot, I’ve learned there’s things I need to work on,” she said. “For example, I am a very direct person. I know that but I think my delivery is rough — and delivery is everything. When you can see it you’re like, ‘Gosh that was really harsh.’ So I’ve learned to be kinder [and] work on my delivery.”

Days later, the medical device sales rep told Us Weekly that Nick allowed her to treat him that way.
“I was talking to him horribly and I apologize for that, but I just can’t believe he let me. I should not have done that, but he’d let me do it,” she said, later adding, “I was cruel to Nick and I completely apologized. I should not have acted that way, but I think I was just so frustrated because when we were on camera, he didn’t say much and he was just very much, like, agreeable, but we’re not agreeing off camera.”
Amid her controversy on the show, Hannah also found herself on a weight loss journey. She revealed to Us Weekly on October 22 that she weighed 220 pounds at her heaviest and began running and watching what she ate.
“I got down to 175 before the show. And I had gotten liposuction too, maybe, a year [or] a year and a half before the show on my lower abdomen, my back and my neck, thinking, ‘These are things that I don’t like, let’s change them,’” she explained. “And then after the show, I was just like, ‘OK, I do love myself, but I do think I could be fitter and healthier. I can be better and feel better.’”
The reality star also went on anxiety medication after the show to help her stop eating as a way to “cope” with anxious thoughts. And though she did temporarily try a generic version of Ozempic, Hannah only lasted about two weeks on the drug, as it made her “too sick.”
“I couldn’t do it. It made me nauseous and made me want to vomit. I couldn’t eat food. I was like, ‘I’d rather be heavier than do this.’ But I think it’s an amazing thing. And if it didn’t make me sick, I definitely would’ve taken it, but I just couldn’t,” she said.
As for what made her decide to go on the weight loss journey in the first place, Hannah said it was “a lot [about] feeling better about myself and a little bit of revenge.”
“I think when you watch the show, I was already on a journey. I’ve always struggled with my weight, my entire life. Whether I was skinny or whether I was heavier, I just had problems. I like to eat. I like to binge eat. I don’t like working out. During COVID, I gained a lot of weight, like a lot of people did,” she explained. “I was just feeling sorry for myself and never did anything about it, essentially.”
