Actor Max Thieriot, best known for his role on the A&E series Bates Motel, revealed on Instagram Sunday that his wife Lexi had given birth to a baby boy named Beaux.

"Christmas came early this year! @lexithieriot and I are so excited to announce the birth of our son Beaux. We love him to the moon! #prouddad #beaux #son #blessed," the 27-year-old wrote next to a photo of the newborn on Instagram. He did not specify the infant's exact birthdate.

The couple, who've been married since 2013, never announced they were expecting, so we're just as surprised as Max's fans are about the arrival.
