Megan Thee Stallion Sued Blogger Milagro Gramz for Defamation

Megan Thee Stallion sued Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Cooper, in October 2024, accusing the blogger of being a “mouthpiece,” “puppet” and “paid surrogate” for Lanez following their own legal battle after he shot her, according to NBC News.

After Lanez shot Megan in 2020, a Los Angeles jury found him guilty in December 2022 of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison in August 2023.

While Lanez is still behind bars, Megan was granted a five-year restraining order against him earlier in 2025 after she expressed concerns for her safety.

During the December 1 trial, a Florida jury sided with Megan – whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete – in the lawsuit.

Jurors determined that Gramz harassed the rapper, as well as willfully encouraged her thousands of social media followers to view a sexually explicit deepfake video of Megan that circulated online after Lanez shot her.

Jurors initially awarded the plaintiff $75,000. However, U.S. District Court Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga brought the amount down to $59,000, according to NBC News.

“I feel like … to this day, I feel a little, like, defeated,” she testified, according to NBC News. “Because no matter what, no matter if the video was fake or not … [Gramz] wanted it to be real.”

Megan continued that Gramz’s decision to spread the deepfake video also weighed on her. “It’s really embarrassing to have to look at what the people don’t know,” she said. “See, in a position like that, like, I know it’s not me, but to be in front of everybody else and they have to watch it — it’s really embarrassing.”
