NFL Alum Kevin Faulk’s Daughter Tanasha Dies at 30 — Four Years After Sister’s Death
The Faulk family is facing unimaginable heartbreak once again. Former NFL star Kevin Faulk is mourning the sudden death of his daughter Tanasha — just four years after the family lost 19-year-old Kevione.
Tanasha, 30, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 6 at Oschner Lafayette Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana, according to the Acadiana Advocate. While details surrounding her cause of death have not been released, the outlet reported that no foul play is suspected.
Kevin, who won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, shared daughter Tanasha and Kevione with his wife, Latisha Faulk. Their family has already endured enormous loss, Kevione died in 2021 while Kevin was working at LSU as a running backs coach. Kevione was a student worker for the football program.
At the time, LSU issued a heartfelt statement, saying, “We are heartbroken with the passing of Kevione Faulk, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Faulk family. She was a part of the LSU family, and we mourn the loss of a daughter, a sister, a friend, a classmate and a colleague.”
An obituary for Tanasha paints the picture of someone deeply rooted in family and community. A lifelong resident of Carencro, she was remembered for her “vibrant spirit,” her love for the people closest to her and the joy she brought into every room.
She is survived by her three daughters — Ava Shelvin, Jornell Zenon and Jaida Louis — as well as her “companion of five years,” Isaac Louis, her parents Kevin and Latisha, and a large extended family.
The obituary also noted that the Faulks previously lost their son, Kevin Jr., as an infant. The tribute highlights how central motherhood was to Tanasha’s life. “Family was the center of Tanasha’s world, especially her three daughters,” it reads, adding that she loved holidays, birthdays, family gatherings and especially Mardi Gras.
Tanasha was “immensely proud” watching her daughters grow. She “loved to cook and was happiest when preparing meals that brought people together.” Her “generosity, laughter, and loving nature created a sense of home wherever she went.”
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 13.
