In a shocking turn of events, Nick Gordon has been found legally responsible in the July 2015 death of girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown, multiple reports confirm.

The Brown estate had previously filed a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit against Nick alleging that the only daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston died following a violent altercation with her boyfriend, who then placed her in a bathtub and injected her with a toxic mixture of drugs.

“We have said all along that we believed Nick Gordon was responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown. This judgment confirms our belief. Mr. Gordon had every opportunity to appear in Court and attempt to clear his name. He declined,” a statement to E! News from Bobby’s legal team reads.

As Life & Style previously reported, Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31, 2015. She passed away after seven months spent in a coma.
