Nick Viall Admits He Doesn’t Keep In Touch With Vanessa Grimaldi: “We Kind of Do Our Own Thing” (EXCLUSIVE)
Vanessa who? Former Bachelor star Nick Viall exclusively opened up to Life & Style about his current relationship with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Grimaldi and revealed that the pair don’t keep in touch anymore. “We kind of do our own thing, we’re supportive of each other, but we don’t really cross paths,” Nick explained while hanging out with SMIRNOFF Red, White & Berry to kick off summer on May 23 in NYC. “I mean, I’m sure we will at some point, but we haven’t.”
The 37-year-old reassured fans that if he ever did run into Vanessa — or any of his exes for that matter — he’d be sure to put on a good face. “I think if you run into your ex, you should just act like you are happy to see them in a platonic way,” he said. “Indifference is great. Just be pleasant.”
Nick added, “Don’t show that you care too much, but be nice. It depends on what you’re trying to do…Every relationship is different, I’ve always been on good terms with my exes, so when we’ve run into each other, it’s never been awkward or weird.”
It’s safe to say Nick knows what he’s talking about when it comes to having relationships with his exes considering he’s had quite a few of them. Fans of the Bachelor franchise were first introduced to Nick way back on Season 10 of The Bachelorette when he vied for Andi Dorfman‘s heart. He then dated Kaitlyn Bristowe during her season of The Bachelorette, but was dumped by her, too.
But his dating life on the franchise still wasn’t over! Nick decided to give love another shot on Bachelor In Paradise where he dated Amanda Stanton for about a minute. Next up was Jen Saviano, and Nick was actually the one to pull the plug on this romance. After that, the ball was finally in Nick’s court as he became the bachelor on Season 21 of the show, which is where he fell in love with Vanessa.
Although his relationship with the Canada native may not have worked out exactly like Bachelor Nation would have hoped, he hasn’t given up on love. “I’m certainly always open to meeting someone,” Nick explained.
But, don’t expect him to find his future wife on a dating app — he’s been there, and done that. “I’ve done it in the past once or twice,” he said. “But I haven’t been on them for a while.”
