Season 1, Episode 1 — "Pilot"

Let's start at the beginning, shall we? Most fans love the first episode of the teen drama because it set up central storylines of the show. Lucas and Nathan's rivalry turned friendship, Leyton's will they/won't they romance, and of course, the central theme of how sports can bring people together.

Season 4, Episode 20 — "The Birth and Death of Day"

Honestly, this list wouldn't be complete without a shoutout to the episode where the students at Tree Hill High finally graduate! And, it wouldn't be Tree Hill without a little drama aka Haley going into labor during her valedictorian speech.

Season 3, Episode 16 — "With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept"

This storyline is arguably the most profound storyline on the show. When a student brings a gun to school, all of the characters are forced to confront the worst parts of humanity. OTH was able to be a part of the gun violence conversation in a meaningful way.

Season 8, Episode 12 — "The Drinks We Drank Last Night"

What happened last night? That's what everyone was asking in this The Hangover-like episode. Viewers were entertained watching the all-grown-up ladies run around Tree Hill trying to figure out what exactly went down at Brooke's bachelorette party.

Season 4, Episode 10 — "Some You Give Away"

Memorable Quote: "Hey Peyton. It’s you. When all my dreams come true, the one I want next to me. It’s you, it’s you Peyton." — Lucas Scott

When fans think of legendary episodes, this one always comes to mind. Not only did the Ravens win the state championship (a dream come true), Lucas finally chose Peyton. Of course, that wasn't the end of Leyton's tumultuous relationship but it was a step in the right direction.

Season 3, Episode 22 — "The Show Must Go On"

A wedding. A limo crash. A pregnancy. And a completely gut-wrenching moment between Lucas and Brooke. The Season 3 finale delivered on all fronts. If you ask us, this episode had everything a OTH episode should have: love, drama, and a heck of a cliffhanger.

Season 3, Episode 18 — "When It Isn't Like It Should Be"

We can still hardly believe that Pete from Fall Out Boy actually showed up to Tree Hill. Even if Peyton's fling with the musician was short lived — it sure was satisfying.

Season 4, Episode 13 — "Pictures of You"

Think OTH meets The Breakfast Club. The seniors of Tree Hill High are all tasked with the job of spending time with another classmate for a class period. During that time they ask each other questions in an effort to learn more about themselves. In the end, the characters realize they're much more than a simple label like "jock" or "prom queen" — and fans learned so much more about them in the process.

Season 3, Episode 13 — "The Wind That Blew My Heart Away"

Oh, Brucas. This episode was probably the height of Brooke and Lucas' romance. Plus, Naley fans were happy that Nathan and Haley finally got back together… for good.

Season 9, Episode 11 — "Danny Boy"

Dan spent most of his time on the show playing the villain. He killed his brother, abandoned his son, and was an all-around bad guy. But, before he passes away, he finally got a chance to redeem himself and experience forgiveness.
