The Queen is back! Queen Latifah made an appearance on The Tonight Show on July 17 to promote her new film, Girl’s Trip — but that’s not the only thing fans are talking about. The actress looked remarkably fit in a white pantsuit, showing off her major weight loss.

The 47-year-old has struggled with her weight for years and has tried out different diets like Jenny Craig (she was a spokesperson). And since heart failure runs in her family, living a healthy lifestyle has become a top priority.

“I don’t really diet. I kind of keep everything in moderation, exercise, and eat right,” she told People magazine in 2010. “I eat a lot of vegetables and lean meats, and I drink a whole lot of water. I wish I had known more about nutrition and exercise and how really good it could affect you at a younger age. Then I would have kicked it up a lot sooner.”

The star lost over 20 pounds with Jenny Craig and is clearly making an effort to keep off the weight. While looking good is important, Queen Latifah admits that for her, feeling good is what counts.

“To me as long as you’re young at heart, it really doesn’t matter how old you are,” she continued. “To me, age is really how you feel on the inside.”
