We’re T minus two days away from the premiere of Raven’s Home on Disney Channel, and star Raven-Symoné‘s weight loss transformation is still the talk of the Internet! As loyal fans know, the 31-year-old lost a whopping 70 pounds in 2011. But the major change didn’t exactly boost the actress’ body image because she never had trouble loving herself in the first place!

“I could look in the mirror and see me at 200 lbs or 135 lbs and I’m still the same person,” she previously told People magazine, though she did admit that being skinnier has its advantages. “It’s great to put on clothes and not wear a girdle. And my thighs look super good!” she mused.

As a teen on the set of That’s So Raven, the craft services table turned out to be the former View host’s worst enemy. “I didn’t understand that all I could have was 12 almonds when there was a plate of doughnuts! I was addicted to that Thanksgiving feeling of cleaning your plate,” she recalled.

Though the comedienne has since gained some of that weight back, she said she’s found a happy medium. “I love my thicky, thicky self. But now that I lost weight, it’s like, ‘OK, wait, let me go back in the gym and get it together,'” she told Oprah Winfrey in a 2015 interview.

Unfortunately, her positive attitude hasn’t stopped others from criticizing her figure. “When I was at my heaviest, like 185 pounds, people would be like ‘Are you pregnant? Are you pregnant?’ and I’m like, ‘No, I’m fat, get away from me,'” she shared on The View. “This goes through all of our industry, just fat-shaming in general. Not accepting of females’ bodies.”

We’re happy to see that the hate hasn’t dimmed Raven’s vibrant personality, and we couldn’t be more ready for her comeback!
