Robert Pattinson Went on a Romantic Dinner Date With Katy Perry — Even Though He’s “Kind of” Engaged to FKA twigs
You’ve got some ‘splaining to do, Robert Pattinson! The Twilight alum, 31, was spotted out on a romantic dinner date with Katy Perry at West Hollywood’s Sunset Tower Hotel on Saturday, Aug. 5. According to TMZ, the two cozied up to one another while out to eat with friends.
In one photo obtained by the website, the “Chained to the Rhythm” songstress, 32, is seen leaning into the actor, with whom she is tucked into a small booth. While we think Katy and Rob actually look great together, we can’t help but feel sorry for FKA twigs, who is apparently engaged to the genetically blessed Brit.
Last month, RPattz revealed in an interview with Howard Stern that he and FKA twigs, 29, were still planning to tie the knot even though it’s been more than two years since he asked for the R&B singer’s hand in marriage. When asked about his relationship status, Rob told the shock jock, 63, that he was “kind of” engaged to FKA Twigs, whom he called “amazing” and “super talented.”

Two years before Rob proposed to FKA twigs in 2015, he was linked to Katy while she was on a break from her ex-boyfriend John Mayer. They were seen canoodling at a Bjork concert in June 2013. However, months later in a cover story interview with Elle UK, the California Gurl shut down romance rumors — and even said that she had texted Rob’s ex Kristen Stewart to let her know that nothing was going on.

“I sent [Kristen] a text message saying, ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you,’” she told the magazine at the time. “I’m not that person. I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t–s.”
