She never goes out of style! Taylor Swift stepped out at the 2020 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, looking like a total superstar. The “London Boy” singer, 30, wore a unique jewel-toned blue gown splattered with bright yellow flowers. Unfortunately, T. Swift’s longtime beau, Joe Alwyn, didn’t walk the red carpet with her.
Although the adorable couple didn’t pose for photos together, Joe did attend the glitzy awards show. The actor went in support of his critically acclaimed film Harriet — the English stud’s costar Cynthia Erivo is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture.
Last year, Taylor made a surprise appearance at the esteemed awards show as a presenter! This year, she’s snagged herself a nomination. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a professional glow-up.
Taylor and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Beautiful Ghosts” is nominated for Best Original Song. Of course, the haunting ballad comes from the motion picture remake of Cats. As incredible as “Beautiful Ghosts” is, the competition in that category is pretty steep.
Taylor and Andrew are up against “Stand Up” from Harriet, by Cynthia Erivo and Joshua Campbell, “Spirit” from The Lion King by Beyoncé, Labrinth and Ilya Salmanzadeh, “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” from Rocket Man by Elton John and Bernie Taupin and “Into The Unknown” from Frozen 2 by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Even if Taylor doesn’t take home the big win tonight, we’ll have another opportunity to see her this awards season! The 2020 Grammys air on Sunday, January 26, and Taylor is nominated for two major titles: Song of the Year for “Lover” and Best Pop Solo Performance for “You Need To Calm Down.”
Taylor and Joe may not be ready to take their relationship completely public yet but the two dazzled solo. To be honest, between her stunning outfit and potential to win this evening, we’re the ones who need to calm down! Good luck, girl.
