This is so sad! Beverly McClellan, who appeared on the first season of The Voice, has reportedly died after a long battle with endometrial cancer. According to The Blast, the 49-year-old passed on Oct. 30 around 4:30 in the afternoon. She was surrounded by loved ones.

Beverly was the third runner-up during her season. She stole the hearts of fans everywhere after her stunning performance of “Piece of My Heart” as her blind audition. Beverly later ended up joining Christina Aguilera‘s team. The “Beautiful” singer has yet to comment on Beverly’s death.

A GoFundMe page set up for the singer by her partner, Monique Vazquez, had raised $31,850 to assist with Beverly’s hospital bills before her passing. The page’s first post, dated on April 28, reads: “Many know Beverly as a hilarious, fun-loving, and caring person who loves her friends and family and not to mention her beautiful voice and music. Beverly’s illness has devastated her family and friends, as well as, fans.

The post goes on to describe Beverly’s struggle to finance her steep medical bills. “Beverly is one of many people who [have] no insurance, like many musicians and self-employed people. She has been denied government benefits at this time and with all bills incurred cannot afford to pay for private insurance.”

Sadly, Beverly’s illness prevented her from pursuing her music. “She depends on her talents for income, and needless to say, she cannot sing or play at gigs during these trying times. Her summer and fall tours have been canceled and hopefully rescheduled for next year. Beverly has a beautiful heart and beautiful music; on many, many occasions has donated her performances for the benefit and fundraising of others in need — recently for #marchforourlives.”

As it stands, the page hasn’t been updated since Oct. 22. However, The Blast also reported that Beverly was “a fighter up until the end, and will be greatly missed by all that knew the singer.” Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and friends at this time
