Whitney Leavitt Is Headed to Broadway! The ‘Secret Lives’ Star Will Make Her Broadway Debut in ‘Chicago’

Whitney Leavitt is about to be the name on everybody’s lips — as she makes her Broadway debut in Chicago!

That’s right, the Dancing With the Stars season 34 semi-finalist and breakout star of Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be playing Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Whitney’s run kicks off February 2, 2026, at the Ambassador Theatre in NYC and will continue for a six-week limited engagement through March 15, 2026.

And yes — this marks her very first professional theater role.

The Utah-based social media star, 32, has already built a massive following thanks to her hilarious TikTok videos, incredible dancing on DWTS and sometimes divisive personality on Secret Lives. Fans will remember that during her season of DWTS, she and partner Mark Ballas delivered an Argentine Tango to “Cell Block Tango,” one of the musical’s most iconic numbers.

Following the DWTS season 34 finale, Whitney and Mark appeared on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast to reflect on their journey, after they were eliminated at the semi-finals, where she teased her stint on Broadway.

While the episode was recorded before the finale aired, Whitney admitted she was feeling “a roller coaster of emotions” after their semi-finals elimination. “I feel grateful, but I also feel sad,” she shared.

She also addressed the backlash she faced throughout the competition, especially criticism surrounding her previous dance experience. The mom of three previously earned a degree in Modern Dance at Brigham Young University.

“As far as [her dance experience] went,” Whitney explained, “this was still very new to me.”

Despite being “used to the hate” from her time on Mormon Wives, Whitney said it was tough to watch Mark deal with the wave of online commentary each week. “I already knew like the persona that I had in the media,” she said, referring to being perceived as the “villain” on the Hulu series. “I just felt like that was gonna carry with me onto Dancing With the Stars.”

Now, she’s ready for a new stage — literally.

Chicago is currently in its 29th year and remains the longest-running American musical in Broadway history. Created by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, the show follows Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two murderesses who turn their scandals into Vaudeville stardom. With music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb, the score includes beloved classics like “All That Jazz,” “Roxie,” and “Razzle Dazzle.”

Tickets for Chicago are officially on sale, you can buy them here.
