While Lindsay Lohan feverishly tries to turn her jail term into a financial windfall, it's the California taxpayers who will ultimately pay for Lindsay's three month stay at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. Her full sentence could run taxpayers, who ultimately pay for inmate costs, about $16,000 in addition to the thousands more dollars she's cost the state in repeated court appearances after violating her probation.
Meanwhile, instead of using her last days of freedom to get her affairs in order or show signs of remorse, the troubled star was reportedly busy entertaining offers to the tune of $500,000 to get an interview before, during and after her jail sentence and plugging numerous companies--including Norton AntiVirus and FashionBay.com--on her Twitter account to earn some dough. "Lindsay has so many followers, she can get $2,500 to $3,000 per tweet," social-media consultant Danny Brown tells Life & Style.
