It’s been a year since Bachelor star Chris Soules and his fiancée Whitney Bischoff called off their engagement. But he exclusively tells Life & Style that unlike most former couples from the show, there’s no bitterness between them.

“I miss her,” he said at Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort Casino on May 28. “I just care about her. She’s a great person.”

Though Whitney, 30, recently moved in with her boyfriend, Ricky Angel, the former couple still talk and text. “We get to stay in touch,” the 34-year-old farmer explained. “It’s a mutually amicable friendship now.”
