A community of cops and firefighters made this autistic boy’s sixth birthday one to remember after coming to the rescue when none of his classmates showed to his party.
Glenn’s mother, Ashlee Buratti, of St. Cloud, Florida, invited all 16 of her son’s classmates to his birthday party on February 8, but when nobody arrived, Ashlee felt heartbroken for her son. Here’s what happened next…

“From the minute he woke up that day he wanted to know how many minutes until his friends came,” Mrs Buratti revealed, adding that his eyes filled with tears when he learned no one was coming. Glenn has a mild form of autism and epilepsy.
Even though no one RSVP'd, Ashlee and her husband John were “still holding on to hope that some of them would show up.”
According to the Osceola News Gazette, she was fed up and looking for support. So the mother-of-three posted her sadness on the locally run Facebook page, Osceola Rants, Raves and Reviews List.

“I know this might be something silly to rant about, but my heart is breaking for my son. We invited his whole class (16 kids) over for his 6th birthday party today. Not one kid came,” her post read.
In the space of an hour, group members were messaging Ashlee asking if they could bring their own kids to celebrate with Glenn.
The message even reached the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, who proceeded to ask for the family's address so they could fly a helicopter over their home for Glenn.
A short while after, around 15 kids and 25 adults showed up to celebrate, open gifts, and play in a bounce house with Glenn.
“It was just amazing. The people who came out were so awesome,” Ashlee told Osceola News Gazette.
But Glenn’s birthday did not just end that Sunday -- many crews from the Sheriff’s Office and Fire Rescue stopped by his house on Wednesday and treated the six-year-old to tours of their fire trucks, motorcycles, and SWAT vehicles.
“And to think, all this happened because nobody showed up to his birthday,” Ashlee wrote online. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
