“We want to publicly state — plainly, and only this time — that we are splitting up. We also feel it’s important to state that we are going to be okay and in fact, we remain close friends who are good in each other’s eyes. That’s something we are deeply thankful for. Even though situations like these can feel defeating. We will continue to encourage and support each other personally and professionally.”

The statement went on to explain that the couple has been together for nearly 10 years and they have grown up together as a couple. Chad, 36, and Hayley, 28, started dating in 2008 and they got engaged in 2014 after Chad popped the question on Christmas Day.

In February 2016, Hayley and Chad "I do" in a quirky, private wedding ceremony in Nashville. Hayley wore a two-piece wedding gown with a cut-out top and a chiffon high-low skirt and they opted for custom-made donuts instead of a traditional wedding cake.

Even though they seemed like the perfect couple, they revealed in their statement said that marriage was a challenge for them and it's "not for the faint of heart," but they said that they are still trying to stay hopeful even though they've split up.

“Hopefully, you’ll understand that the personal aspects of what we are going through are not for anyone else to carry. Only us," the statement continued. "To allow people any further into this moment in our lives would be to dishonor our history together and our ability to move forward with integrity.”
