Fast forward 500 days and their love story has (spoiler alert) come to an end — but for fans of the movie, the characters will live on forever.

Today, the cast is still taking over Hollywood, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zooey Deschanel, and Chloë Grace Moretz being some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

The New Girl star is the epitome of the manic pixie dream girl persona in 500 Days of Summer but don't be fooled.

"Yes, Summer has elements of the manic pixie dream girl – she is an immature view of a woman. She's Tom's view of a woman," director Marc Webb said. "He doesn't see her complexity and the consequence for him is heartbreak. In Tom's eyes, Summer is perfection, but perfection has no depth. Summer's not a girl, she's a phase."

Known for his roles in Super Troopers, Geoffrey is currently starring on the TV show Madam Secretary.

He is also married to Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks.

Chloë Grace Moretz/Rachel (2005 vs. 2016)

The blonde beauty has transitioned seamlessly from child star to full-fledged Hollywood actress.

She has starred in blockbusters, including the Kick-Ass franchise and The Equalizer featuring Denzel Washington.

Matthew is best known for his role of Dr. Spencer Reid in the hit CBS series Criminal Minds.
