Alex Rodriguez “Couldn’t Have an Intellectual Conversation” According to His Ex-Girlfriend’s Mom!
Now this relationship was a strikeout! In a new interview, Alex Rodriguez was pretty much ripped to shreds by one of his ex-girlfriend’s mothers. The former Yankee dated CEO Anne Wojcicki for a year and a half, and her mother, Esther Wojcicki, just opened up about their romance to The New York Times.
“He had no academic background. We couldn’t have an intellectual conversation about anything. His main interest in life was something that none of us had ever focused on, which was baseball. He could park himself in front of a TV and watch baseball for 10 hours a day. He wasn’t even sure he wanted to go on the yacht with Anne because the TV might not be working,” she told the publication.
“We couldn’t go anywhere with him. If we went to Target to look for clothes for the kids, all of a sudden we’d be looking around and people would be saying, ‘We just want a selfie with A-Rod.’ He can’t walk across Central Park. He has to take a cab. That will work better with [his current girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez], because she’s like, ‘Take a picture of me anytime,’” she continued.
However, Esther did add that she was a fan of the father-of-two’s character and family members. “He was a very nice man,” she shared. “He seemed to be genuinely in love with Anne. But I right away figured out this was a mismatch.” A-Rod has had his fair share of high-profile relationships
— but now seems happier than ever with the Shades of Blue star. Recently, there have been rumors that J.Lo is pressuring her beau to propose!
“There were opportunities for Jen and Alex to work together and get into business before but Alex wanted to hold off until he knew he wanted to get married to her. Now, Alex is ready to give her roles in some of his businesses so he’s clearly seriously thinking about marriage,” a source said. We’re waiting impatiently, J-Rod!
