Alix Earle Celebrates Birthday with Extravagant Trip to Mexico After Braxton Berrios Breakup
TikTok influencer Alix Earle knows nothing can heal a broken heart like time spent with your besties.
Less than 48 hours after officially announcing her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Braxton Berrios, to her followers, Earle headed off to Mexico with her sister and best friends to celebrate her 25th birthday.
Although she was struggling with the pain of her recent breakup, Earle’s crew was hard at work attempting to cheer her up on her special day.
In a series of new TikToks, she shared the transformative trip with her followers.
“So I actually almost canceled this trip two days ago because I was feeling down in the dumps and just, like, wanted to lay in bed,” Earle admitted in the first video as she gathered her suitcases. “But, I think it’s gonna be good cause we’re gonna have some good girl time, and I actually woke up [and] I’m very excited.”
Earle then showed herself getting on and off her flight before meeting up with her friends at the airport bar, getting the party started with some margaritas.
“I’m very grateful to just be with my friends right now,” Earle said later that night as she curled her hair before going out to dinner. “Especially yesterday, I was sitting on my couch and I felt like… ‘green’ is how I felt, I don’t know how to describe that? But I just was so nauseous, in my own thoughts and sad, but, like, numb. I felt like I couldn’t move. So just being around my friends right now means everything.”
The next day, Alix posted a silly video of her sister, Ashtin Earle, rocking her back and forth on an outdoor swing with a popular TikTok audio of a man saying, “I love life again! I’ve never been sad before in my life! Everything is fine! Happiness!”
On-screen text tied to the video read, “my friends cheering me on to distract me from reality.”
“Don’t worry baby. Mama take care of u,” Ashtin wrote in the comments of the post.
The fun of the trip continued as the girls went to yoga, enjoyed the pool, danced and enjoyed cocktails together.
Then, in one of her classic “Get Ready with Me” videos, this time on her actual birthday, Alix revealed that her friend Sally had hand made her a birthday “cake” out of hot dogs to cheer her up.
“This is my birthday cake from my friends, it’s a bunch of hot dogs,” Alix said, bursting out laughing. “Hot dogs! And Sally flew with these hot dogs to Mexico […] Anywho, the vibes are great. Turning 25 couldn’t be any better.”
She then shared that during the trip, she had been thinking about her intention going into both the new year and the next year of her life.
“I have to say, probably the best thing that has come out of [age] 24 is probably doing Dancing With the Stars, and not just cuz of the dancing,” Alix explained. “But I think from everything I learned from it about myself. And I think it just changed the trajectory of how I’m gonna go into this next year. I learned that you have to be your own biggest supporter.”
“You gotta go after your own dreams, no one is gonna chase them for you,” she added.
