Alix Earle Gets Emotional Over ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Coming to an End in New Video
With season 34 of Dancing With the Stars coming to an end, contestant Alix Earle is reflecting on the special experience she’s had on the show.
In a new video, the TikTok influencer got vulnerable about her decision to do the show and her journey making it all the way to the finale.
“Hi, I’m just sitting down and watching videos from the past few months,” Earle said to the camera as a tear rolled down her cheek. “I’m also a little sleep deprived right now so I’m probably losing my mind, but, just wanted to say thank you guys for all the support.”
“Coming onto this show, some people [were] saying I shouldn’t do it and it was something I wanted to do for myself because I always watched the show and thought, you know, like, ‘that would be so crazy to get out there and do that someday,’” Earle continued in the November 24 TikTok.
She then explained that coming on the show was a big risk for her career because she would have to essentially stop all other work projects for the duration of her run on the show.
“It’s something I really wanted to do for myself and it just… it’s made me feel so supported that you guys have, like, loved this journey just as much as me,” the influencer shared as more tears streamed down her face.
Earle then shared that she previously held a fear that her followers would only love her for the content they knew her for–like “get ready with me” videos and recaps of her wild nights out on the town–and that she would never be able to branch out as a person.
But, the support her fans have given her while she’s been on Dancing With the Stars has taken that fear away.
“Sometimes, people don’t take me seriously, because I, like, am always out, or posting just, like, funny things or not so serious stuff, and I feel like the show has just given me, like, reason to prove that, I guess, to myself and to you guys that, like, I do work hard,” Earle said.
Earle’s fans flooded the comments with even more support for her and the new journey she’s been on.
“I love fun party girl Alix but this has been my favorite version of you,” one fan shared in the comments of the video.
“Crying actual tears over my close personal friend Alix Earle,” another fan joked playfully in the comments.
Earle also recently posted a video montage of clips of her on the show and in rehearsals to commemorate the experience, thanking her dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy in the caption.
Earle also posted a TikTok together with Chmerkovskiy, thanking the fans for their support in voting them into the finale and reminding them to vote for them to win during the final episode.
“We’re so excited for the finale and to show you our dances,” Earle said in the video.
“And thanks for a great freaking ride, what a fun trip,” Chmerkovskiy added.
The Dancing With the Stars Season 3 finale airs on Tuesday, November 25, on ABC.
