Alix Earle’s Stepmom Tells ‘DWTS’ Guest Host Cheryl Burke to ‘Take More Ozempic’ After Low Score
Things got messy in the ballroom — and not because of the tango.
Alix Earle’s stepmom, Ashley Dupré, is catching major heat after making a controversial comment about Dancing With the Stars guest judge Cheryl Burke. The 40-year-old former escort shared her unfiltered reaction to the influencer’s “Halloween Night” performance with pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy on TikTok Tuesday — and while she praised the dance as “f—ing amazing,” she had some harsh words for Burke after seeing her score.
Despite earning perfect 10s from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, Burke only gave Earle and Chmerkovskiy a nine. That didn’t sit well with Dupré, who could be heard snapping in the video, “Oh, go take more Ozempic,” after Burke revealed her score.
When one of her children asked about the comment, Dupré doubled down, saying, “She looks weird. She doesn’t even look like that.”
@ashley.earle INSANE!!!! So proud of you!!!! @Alix Earle @Val
The remark quickly drew backlash online. “That Ozempic comment was so unnecessary,” one TikTok user wrote, while another added, “Everyone being an active bully and thinking it’s okay because Alix didn’t get a 10??? What is wrong with y’all.” Still, others found Dupré’s comment entertaining, with fans posting, “THE OZEMPIC COMMENT 😂 I was literally thinking the same thing 😂😂” and “I’m peeing at the Ozempic comment.”
Burke, 41, has been open about the speculation surrounding her appearance. Back in March, the former DWTS pro addressed rumors that she’d used the diabetes drug for weight loss, clarifying in a candid TikTok that she wasn’t on Ozempic — and hadn’t undergone any cosmetic procedures either.
“I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick,” she said. “I didn’t get a face transplant, and no, I didn’t get a brow lift.”
She went on to call out the “wild” level of projection she’s witnessed online, noting that people constantly compare her to her younger self. “I hate to break it to you, but that Cheryl doesn’t exist anymore,” Burke shared. “My face has changed because I’ve changed. I’ve experienced so much trauma, divorce, and this is by no means a pity party. Sobriety, burnout, reinvention, I’ve healed, I’ve lost, I’ve grieved like anybody else.”
In August, the Emmy nominee revealed to Us Weekly that she’d lost 41 pounds with the help of a portion-controlled meal plan from Z.E.N. “I feel f—ing great; my energy is on another level,” she said at the time. “That 109 [pounds] doesn’t matter — what matters is how I feel.”
Burke, who retired as a DWTS pro in November 2022, recently spoke with Page Six about the challenges of being a judge and the backlash that often comes with scoring. As for Dupré’s viral jab, neither Burke nor Earle has publicly commented.
