He’s Here! Amber Rose Gives Birth to a Healthy Baby Boy — Find Out His Unique Name
He’s here! Amber Rose gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Thursday, October 10. The 35-year-old welcomed her son Slash Electric Alexander Edwards with her boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards.
“Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.. the world is urs now ❤️ thank u @amberrose for loving me so much that u put ur body thru it 2 bring my sun [sic] in2 the world,” Alexander wrote on Instagram Friday morning. I could never be as strong as u. Slash a rockstar ❤️.” Aww. This is Amber’s first child with Alexander, but the model has a son — Sebastian Taylor Thomaz — from her previous marriage to Wiz Khalifa.
The mom of two has been counting down the days of her baby’s arrival. On September 9, she shared an update on her pregnancy status. “Big Boy! Nine months! Almost there!” the actress captioned a video showing off her baby bump. “Love you, [Alexander Edwards]. Thank you for this wonderful gift! P.S. I’m literally out of breath just standing up. #LibraBaby.”
In the video, Amber revealed she was “pretty much on bed rest at this point.” We can only imagine how relieved she feels now that she doesn’t have to carry the extra weight — literally. In addition, Amber no longer has to worry about feeling unwell now that her baby has arrived. In May, Amber admitted she was diagnosed with Hyperemesis again. “I said I was going to document this pregnancy a little bit more than I did with Sebastian, ’cause with Sebastian I had hyperemesis, and I have hyperemesis again with this baby,” she said in an Instagram video at the time. She explained the symptoms, which were basically “extreme nausea, vomiting and dehydration.”
Throughout the nine months of her pregnancy, Amber faced and conquered several health struggles. She would easily get tired and certain foods wouldn’t sit well with her. Amber tried to stay as positive as possible by reminding herself of the outcome. “Babies are a blessing. God bless women, man,” she said. “We are resilient.” Fortunately, Amber is back to her normal self now.
Despite the downsides, the blonde beauty made many great memories, like when she got a 3D ultrasound of her baby and learned that he’s his dad’s twin. “He looks just like his daddy in this 3-D ultrasound @ae4president,” she captioned a photo of the ultrasound, which she shared in August. We can’t wait to see more photos of Amber and her beautiful family. Congrats!
