There’s always a villain on The Bachelor. In Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season, it was California fitness coach Krystal Nielson, 30. But a close pal of hers exclusively tells Life & Style that viewers didn’t see the real Krystal, who didn’t receive a rose on Monday’s episode.

“I’ve never seen that side of her,” the friend tells Life & Style. “What she’s portrayed as isn’t who she is in real life. She’s not a villain!”

The way the show portrayed her was taking a toll on her, her friend says, “I can tell just from talking to her, she’s really upset about this season. I’m 100 percent sure she’s devastated.”

“I warned Krystal the producers can edit her any way they want,” the friend explains to Life & Style. “I’m positive she never wanted to be the villain.”
