Bella and Gregg in April.
“After much thought and soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship,” the duo said in a joint statement to Us Weekly. “We will always love each other and have a deep respect for one another, as we have each grown to be better people because of our time together.”
Bella has since thanked fans for their support following the revelation:
Aww thank you for all the accepting tweets from everyone. I love you guys ❤️❤️❤️ #pride

"I had a great five-year relationship with a lovely lady who I still talk to to this day, and that’s that. I mean, if it happened yesterday I would probably be saying something different. But I’ve been happily married to my husband for seven years," she said.

"I think women are beautiful," she has reportedly said. "I've had a lot of fun with women, and I'm not ashamed of it. The problem is that I also love a well-endowed man. But just because I enjoy women doesn't mean I'm allowed to have affairs in my relationship. I learned through talking with my therapist that it is still cheating even if it's with girls, so there is a rule there."

"I think I've always been bisexual… It's a beautiful thing," he has said. "The fact that it is an issue is kind of phobic within itself. At some point… this should be something that's just accepted."

"I have battled with myself most of my life because I wasn't gay or straight enough," she tweeted. "I used to think I would never be happy … Point being, it's ok. We do exist. Don't let anyone make you feel unworthy. No one knows your journey but you… No matter who I am with, I am still bisexual."

"A woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful. Being with a woman is like exploring your own body, but through someone else. When I was younger I used to go with lots of women. Totally. I love it," she has said.

"I've been with women, usually there's a man involved… I have a couple times been with women where it was just us," she has said. "I love beautiful people. If you're a man, you're a man. If you're a woman, you're a woman. I'm not a lesbian and I'm not straight."

"It was a weird moment in my life when I didn’t know how to explain to myself I wasn’t gay, but I wasn’t straight and I just wasn’t like some freak ― that you know, was just having threesomes all day. For me if I was in a relationship with a woman then I was just with her and vice versa," she has said.

"When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn't like it. We were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, 'That's mine. You're making my relationship something that it's not,'" she said during an interview with Elle UK. "I didn't like that. But then it changed when I started dating a girl. I was like, 'Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I'm not down with it or I'm ashamed of it, so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I'm so much happier."

“So many of our youth experiencing homelessness are youth whose lives touch on many intersections — whether they be gender identity, gender expression, race, class, sexual orientation, religion, citizenship status,” she revealed in a speech at the None Summit. “And, because of the intersections that exist in my own life: Woman, multi-racial woman, woman of color, queer, bisexual, Mexican-Irish American, immigrant, and raised by families heavily rooted in Catholicism on both my Mexican and Irish sides, I am deeply invested in projects that allow our youth’s voices to be heard, and that support our youth in owning their own complex narratives so that we can show up for them in the ways they need us to.”
