Ben Affleck Was His New Girlfriend Lindsay Shookus’ Arm Candy at the 2017 Emmy Awards
Out with the old, in with the new? Ben Affleck turned heads at the 2017 Emmy Awards not because of his tux or acceptance speech, but because of his arm-candy. The 45-year-old actor attended the award show as the date of his new girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus. The 37-year-old Saturday Night Live producer was part of the team that accepted the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. Although the couple skipped the red-carpet, Ben made sure to show his support for her impressive win.
According to Us Weekly, Ben wasn’t shy about showing his affections for Lindsay. “He jumped up and cheered when SNL won,” an onlooker said. “He’s sitting with all of SNL in the center of the theater. He’s clearly her plus-one.” And, after she accepted her award the couple was seen “holding hands and whispering and smiling.”

Well, it seems like Ben is moving on after his split with his wife of over ten years, Jennifer Garner. We were worried that this relationship might be cooling down after sources exclusively told Life & Style that Lindsay is refusing to divorce her husband.
“[She] still hasn’t filed papers,” the source revealed. “Lindsay is in love with Ben, but she’s hesitant to pull the trigger on the divorce, and Ben is getting very impatient. He’s told Lindsay how much he loves her, and he’s been very public with his affection for her. He doesn’t know what in the world she’s waiting for.”
We wonder how Jenifer feels about him being so open with his new relationship. While Ben may wish that his dating life could be kept private, he knows that’s very unlikely. “He is very happy with Lindsay and doesn’t want to hide it,” the Us source added. “He’s enjoying spending time with her.”
