After a year and a half of dating, the couple is unexpectedly putting the brakes on the wedding planning but that does not mean they've fallen out of love. Sources are reporting that Blake, 41, and Gwen, 47, are just scared of ruining a "good thing with an extra title.”
"One thing they often bring up is how they could be the modern-day Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and be together forever but never get married,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “They would be equally happy with that route as well. They are taking it all in stride and are refusing to be pressured into doing something that they don’t want to do. Blake and Gwen are on the same wavelength with each other and that is why their relationship is working so well.”
In fact, the pair looked more in love than ever last month at the Billboard Music Awards when the country crooner took the stage and gushed about his girlfriend.
"I felt like the luckiest guy anyway because Gwen is here with me," Blake said while Gwen looked on with a huge smile on her face.
Life & Style recently reported that Blake was supposed to propose on The Voice, where they met and fell in love, but he refused.
Meanwhile, Gwen's ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, 51, who is the father of her three sons Kingston, 11, Zuma, 8, and three-year-old Apollo, is moving on with German model Sophia Thomalla, 27, and is determined to put the drama behind him.
"It's like enough already. I've got to move on. Everyone has got to move on," he told The Sunday Times of their 2016 divorce. "For me, it's just thinking about the boys and how to prioritize them."
