Blake Shelton will release a new song, “Came Here to Forget,” on March 8, and in a press release about the track, the country crooner admits it’s one of his most personal tunes ever!

“I’ve had a lot of music over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song before that’s such a direct look into my life,” the 39-year-old revealed. “That’s why I’m so excited about this particular song.”

Described as “an intimate snapshot of a couple’s encounter at a bar,” fans couldn’t help but wonder if the song is based on Blake’s current relationship with Gwen Stefani — though they obviously got to know each other on The Voice set.

In a recent interview, the Grammy nominee confirmed that his 12th studio album will also touch on his divorce from Miranda Lambert last summer.

“If you have followed my career even a little bit in my life, you know what has happened with me in the last, gosh, eight or nine months,” Blake told ET.

“It is all on the record…I can put my life experience, whether it’s a divorce or my new girlfriend, whatever those experiences are, whatever things that are happening in my life, I have an outlet for them…I have music. I can write songs, I can sing about it.”
