While parents Beyoncé and Chris Martin prepped for their big Super Bowl halftime show, Blue Ivy Carter and Apple Martin had a blast hanging out behind-the-scenes!

Gwyneth Paltrow shared an adorable Instagram photo of her 11-year-old daughter holding hands with Bey’s four-year-old ahead of the performance — and we can’t help but envy the duo’s close-knit relationship.

The actress kept watch over the Grammy winner’s only child during the game, while dad Jay Z chatted with friends in a VIP box. At one point, the 43-year-old blonde beauty planted a sweet kiss on the tot’s head.

Though Chris and his band Coldplay were technically the headliner for Super Bowl 50, Beyoncé and fellow guest star Bruno Mars arguably stole the show with their performances of “Formation” and “Uptown Funk.”

Queen B also announced after halftime that she’d be going on a world tour in 2016, effectively hogging the spotlight for the rest of the game. We wouldn’t expect anything less from the 34-year-old!
