Céline Dion’s Husband René Angélil Dies at Age 73 After a Long Battle With Cancer
René Angélil, the husband of Céline Dion, has died at the age of 73.
“René passed away this morning as his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer,” his rep said in a statement to People magazine. “The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time.”

The Canadian-born manager has been married to Celine since 1994 and the couple has three children together — René-Charles, 14, and five-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy. René also has three other children from previous relationships.

In an interview last year, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer, 47, talked about her husband’s three bouts of cancer, revealing doctors didn’t know how long he had left.
“I’ll say, ‘You’re scared? I understand. Talk to me about it’ … And René says to me, ‘I want to die in your arms,'” she emotionally shared.
