Apparently, Chris Brown really wants Rihanna to look at him now…

Earlier this month, Chris admitted in his Welcome To My Life documentary that he was planning to propose to the “Good Girl Gone Bad” singer. But, of course, before he was able to get down on one knee, the couple got into a violent argument that ended with him physically assaulting the Barbadian beauty.

But even though he’s ready to turn over a new leaf, it looks like RiRi still wants nothing to do with him.

“Chris wanted to get a reaction from Rihanna, that was the whole point of telling the world that he was planning to propose to her,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life. “He’s been trying to get her attention and it hasn’t really been working so he upped his game. And that still didn’t work. Rihanna hasn’t called, texted, nothing. He’s disappointed, he was expecting something more to come out of it.”

But the 28-year-old is now realizing that it’s going to take more than a bold admission to make RiRi talk to him again. In fact, it might prove impossible to get in her good graces considering their tumultuous history.

“Rihanna barely speaks to Chris these days. She’s aware that she really needs to move on from that chapter in her life and she’s finally getting there,” the insider continued. “Chris still sends her text messages, but she’s doing her best to just ignore them.”

So, will Chris’ persistence pay off? Or is he just embarrassing himself? We’ll have to wait and see!
