Chrissy Metz Has the Best Reaction to Filming ‘This Is Us’ Sex Scenes in Front of Her Cameraman BF
Working with your significant other can be difficult. Add in a few sex scenes and it can be downright awkward — just ask Chrissy Metz.
The This Is Us actress is currently dating Josh Stancil, who works as a cameraman on the NBC series, and she reveals how the couple keeps the mood light when she is filming racy scenes with her onscreen lover Toby, played by Chris Sullivan.

“We laugh about it,” she said at the Television Critics Association press tour. “There was the one — the Christmas episode where [Chris and I] did kiss 12 times and Josh was texting me and he was like, ‘Why does Helen [Hunt, who directed the episode] have you guys kiss 12 times?’ And I was like ‘I don’t think she’s having us kiss 12 times, she’s looking for different angles to get.’ And he’s like, ‘OK, I was just asking!’”
Chrissy, 36, who was recently nominated for an Emmy for her role as Kate on the popular series, has been very candid about her relationship with Josh. The couple met on set when he was eating a taco bowl and according to the plus-sized actress, it was just “organic.”

“It’s really mostly about energy — Do I get on with someone? Because looks are going to fade,” she told People. “If I can’t get along with somebody and have a friend, then what’s the point?”
She continued, “It wasn’t like [he] came out of the woodwork just because I’m on the show. It was just organic, and I’m grateful for that. We’re in a very healthy relationship.”
Josh even offered to quit his job for her! “My priority was my job and I was not trying to blow my big shot,” she told Marie Claire. “Josh even offered to go work on another show.”
