Only child no more! John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s daughter Luna Simone is finally a big sister after the former Sports Illustrated model gave birth on May 16. And while most parents worry about the growing competition for attention, John assured that little Luna is handling things just fine — even if she’s only looking out for herself!

Speaking with People, the award-winning artist gushed about how the toddler is navigating the sibling life. "[Luna’s] used to having us to herself. I think she’s just starting to realize though that he might be competition," he began. "So in some ways it’s good because she’s stepping her game up. She’s being more loving, she’s singing louder, and dancing harder. She’s making sure we don’t stop paying attention to her," the 39-year-old joked. How adorable! It’s clear Luna takes after her headstrong mama.

As far as how John feels about having a boy — who the couple named Miles Theodore — he’s ready for the challenge. "I think it’s kind of a special privilege for me to raise a young man. I want to try to give him the best advice and be a good man," he said.

"Particularly right now, a lot of us are trying to figure out how to raise good men in this era when a lot of bad behavior by men is being exposed. We want to make sure we’re raising young men that grow up to be kind and empathetic and emotionally intelligent, and also good leaders and successful in everything they do."

Sounds like a perfectly conscientious father to us! We wish John and Chrissy all the best with their newly blossomed family, and of course, we can’t wait to see more pics of the little guy.
