‘Dancing With the Stars’ Alum Amy Purdy Marries Longtime Boyfriend Daniel Gale
Congratulations are in order for Amy Purdy and her boyfriend of 14 years Daniel Gale, as the two just tied the knot this weekend!
The former Amazing Race contestants finally said “I do” on Saturday in an outdoor wedding at The Barn at Hidden Springs in Boise, Idaho.
“We felt it was just finally time to come together and make a commitment to each other,” Purdy, 35, told People.
“I am not an over-the-top kind of person. I just wanted it to feel outdoorsy and simple,” she added. “It’s all very bohemian.”
The bride, who is a bronze medalist in Paralympic snowboarding and was runner up on Dancing With the Stars, looked stunning in her lace gown and long veil, while her new husband looked dapper in a grey suit and tie.
Amy, who, after a battle with bacterial meningitis, now has two prosthetic legs, later posted a gorgeous wedding photo on Instagram, writing, “Well friends! We did it!!! What an unbelievably magical night! By far the best of our lives!!
“We even had a rainbow that appeared above us! I honestly can not imagine a more perfect special and fun celebration! And … We danced that Idaho barn to the ground! We are married!!!!!!!!”
