Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama Break Up After 6 Years
It’s over for Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama! After more than six years together, the couple took to social media and announced their breakup on Instagram on Friday, June 3.
“After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship,” Demi, 23, wrote. “This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another.”

“Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years,” the post continues. “With only love, Wilmer & Demi.”
The couple first met in 2010 when they were both filming a spot for Voto Latino, and quietly struck up a romance. They have since become more vocal about their love, and have publicly supported one another.
The That ’70s Show star, 36, gushed about his love — and their friendship — earlier this year.
“You know, we’ve been best friends for about six years,” Wilmer said to Entertainment Tonight. “We haven’t necessarily been dating for six years, but we have six years of friendship, and it’s been… it’s been beautiful.”
It may be over, but it sounds like the friendship will remain.
