Donna Kelce Is Back on Screen in Holiday Movie ‘The Gift Exchange’
Donna Kelce just gave fans a festive update, she’s starring in a brand-new holiday movie!
On Instagram, Kelce shared the movie poster and captioned it, “Gather the family for a new holiday (and @google) classic. Trailer kicking off soon.”
The movie, titled The Gift Exchange, will see Donna playing Carole Hall, alongside WWE star Nikki Garcia as Holly Hall and Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney as Aiden Winter.
Fans are already excited about the upcoming film, flooding Donna’s post with supportive comments. “Go Mama Kelce!! Can’t wait to watch! ❤️,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Mama Kelce be seeing her name in LIGHTS 🤩.”
This isn’t the first time the 73-year-old and mother of NFL stars Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce has stepped into the acting world.
Reflecting on her acting debut in the Hallmark Channel films Christmas on Call, set in Philadelphia, and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, set in Kansas City, Donna called the experience “so awesome.”
“There were so many fantastic veterans of Hallmark movies, and I just had a blast learning from all of them,” she told People, adding, “It’s so much fun for them to be doing the movie in Kansas City for the first time and being in the stadium that I’ve been here for the past 11 years. So it was just really fun.”
Donna also shared that her grandchildren were thrilled to see her on screen. “[They] kept saying, ‘Play it back, play it back! We want to see DeeDee!’ So that was kind of fun.”
Her Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story co-stars Hunter King and Tyler Hynes also had glowing things to say about working with her on the movie.
“She’s like a rare and beautiful unicorn,” Tyler told E! News. “When she showed up on set, it was like, ‘The Eagle has landed.’ It was like the president was joining us, and rightfully so. She’s like the country’s mother.”
