Dylan Efron Reveals First Dance Lesson After Being Named ‘DWTS’ Contestant: ‘Be Nice’
Dylan Efron shared a glimpse into his first dance lesson in an adorable post after he was named a contestant on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars.
The Traitors winner, 33, took to Instagram on Thursday, September 4, to share a video of him holding his younger half-sister Olivia’s hands as she instructed him on how to move his feet. The video then cut to Olivia, who looked adorable in a pink princess dress costume and crown, counting and showing him some steps to follow.
“It’s kinda hard, but I think you could practice it,” Olivia, 5, told her brother at the end of the clip.
Alongside the sweet video, Dylan wrote in the caption, “My sister taught my first ever dance lesson, so you better be nice.”

While Dylan’s most famous sibling is his older brother, actor Zac Efron, they also have half siblings from their father David Efron’s second marriage. In addition to Olivia, they also have a younger brother named Henry.
Shortly after Dylan shared the post, several fans gushed about how sweet the clip was in the comments section.
“Princess Olivia is just the cutest and such the best dance teacher you will learn a lot from Olivia advice,” one social media user account wrote, while another fan account dedicated to Dylan chimed in, “A big shoe to fill Dylan. You gonna make her proud I’m sure about it. You are so talented and quick learner you proved it so many times. You gonna rock this too.”
Dylan will be competing on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars alongside pro Daniella Karagach.
After his casting was announced, Dylan revealed that his mother, Starla Baskett, always wanted Zac, 37, to compete on the show. “My mom, her dream was Zac doing the show 20 years ago,” he told People in an interview published on Wednesday, September 3. “So I’m really excited for my mom to be there.”

“But also, my dad and my little brother and little sister,” he added, making it clear that everyone in his family is excited about his stint on the competition reality show. “It’s gonna make me tear up to see them in the stands.”
Dylan also teased that he and Karagach, 32, already feel like “the same person” even before the competition has officially started.
“It’s nice though. I think we understand how each other’s brains work when we’re training. We know when we’re tired, we get very distracted, a bit of ADD. It’s been fun,” he said. “It’s a fun mix of, we get hyper-focused and are trying our hardest. And then we’re twerking for 45 minutes.”
