Foster Dogs Named After ‘Heated Rivalry’ Stars Adorably Get Into Character
Popular Instagram creator @simonsits, also known as Isabel, is spreading joy by sharing how she outfitted her two foster dogs and her own dog, Simone, in themed hockey jerseys.
In a viral video shared on January 9, Isabel held her foster dogs close and explained, “My two fosters are named Shane and Ilya, the stars of the TV show Heated Rivalry. If you haven’t watched it, honestly, what are you doing with your life? It’s the most incredible love story ever—about two hockey players who fall in love.”
Heated Rivalry has captured audiences with its mix of sports drama, heartfelt romance, and complex characters navigating fame, love, and identity in the competitive world of professional hockey.
The show has been praised for its realistic portrayal of LGBTQ+ relationships in sports, making Shane and Illya a fan-favorite couple.
Isabel shared to her followers, “As soon as I knew I was fostering them, I bought them hockey jerseys. Illya got a Boston Bruins jersey, Shane got the Canadian team, and of course Simone is Scott Hunter, so he’s rocking a Rangers jersey.”
Without spoiling too much, she added, “In the show, Scott Hunter is the hockey player who paves the way and teaches them it’s okay to be themselves.”
Simonsits shared footage of her putting the tiny jerseys on the three little dogs, a moment that has fans overloading with cuteness.
The adorable clip has now racked up over 68,000 views, with fans gushing over the dogs’ costumes. One commenter wrote, “The joy I needed this morning,” while another said, “Stop, they are so cute in their jerseys!!”

The creator posted another Instagram video of all three dogs enjoying the fresh air outside, all in their cute embellished jersey.
She captioned the video, “Not sure which Shane and Ilya are cuter tbh 😍.”
