Gwen Stefani Says She Hopes Her Love With Blake Shelton Lasts Forever And Yep, We’re Ugly Crying
Listen up, ladies, you don’t need a ring to lock down your man! At least that’s what Gwen Stefani‘s preaching. Speaking with Today on Dec. 12, the “Rich Girl” singer gushed about her relationship with country music crooner Blake Shelton, as well as how an engagement doesn’t define their love.
“There is zero pressure [to get engaged]… when there’s trauma, the way that we had trauma back in the day,” Gwen said, referring to her divorce from Gavin Rossdale and Blake’s from Miranda Lambert.
“Going through all these hard times, [you] get to a place where you find somebody that’s like your best friend, that you know you can depend on and trust and go through life — we’re just trying to be in the moment as much as we can,” the mother-of-three gushed.
To be clear, though, that doesn’t mean Gwen and her beau are expiration dating, they’re in this thing for the long haul. When asked if they’ll last forever, Gwen’s answer was short and sweet: “I hope so, yeah!” Sigh. As much as we’d love to watch these two walk down the aisle ASAP, you can’t argue with Gwen’s beautiful logical.
So, what can we expect from America’s favorite couple if not a wedding? A baby, perhaps? Well, according to Us Weekly, Gwen and Blake are actually in the final stages of choosing a surrogate. “It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited,” an insider revealed to the publication, adding that while Blake totally adores Gwen’s sons, that “he wants his own child, too.”
Gwen shares three boys — Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 4 — with her ex-husband, and as it happens, Blake is wonderful with them. “Gwen is just so in awe of the love he has, not only for her but for the boys,” the insider added. Ugh. Here we go again with the tears! No matter what Gwen and Blake decided, they’re definitely our fave celeb couple right now.
