We’re going to go ahead and file this under “every girl’s worst nightmare.” On Nov. 15, Hailey Baldwin was basically caught creeping on Instagram. The target of her social media stalking? None other than her hubby’s ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Well, er, a Selena Gomez fan account, that is.

Of course, the 21-year-old was quick to hit that unfollow button. However, it was too late. The devil may work harder, but internet stans work harder. The account in question, houseofsel, took to her page to reveal what really went down. She even included a screenshot of a DM from Hailey. Yes, the model legit messaged the fan account, that’s how shook she must’ve been.

“So, Hailey DM’d me. Y’all should stop blaming her for ‘stalking Selena’ and stuff like that. She seems nice and sweet,” they began. We now (sort of) apologize for using the term “stalking” earlier — but not really.  “By the way, [Hailey], sorry if whatever I said offended you [in any way].” The account manager went on to basically yell at her followers, but that’s not really here nor there.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Hailey has had to deal with Selena’s fandom. In fact, shortly after the “Back To You” singer was hospitalized, people began to blame Hailey. “Because of you, Selena is hospitalized. Shame on you! You just want money from Justin,”  one user wrote on Hailey’s Instagram at the time. “If she dies it will be your fault. Are you happy now?” added another. Hundreds of Selena’s loyal followers also left snake emojis and comments that said “Queen Selena.”

Of course, Selena’s longtime love Justin Bieber wasn’t exempt from the blame. “All of these problems are because of you. Go and f–k yourself,” one user commented on the singer’s Instagram. “While you’re spending fun times with your girlfriend who will never love you as [much] as Selena did, poor Selena is suffering alone at the hospital,” added another.

Yikes! Perhaps the problem isn’t these A-listers. Maybe it’s the seemingly crazed folks on social media… and that’s the tea.
