It’s that time again, folks! The 2018 VMAs are almost here, so we’re putting together a cheat sheet on everything you need to know to watch MTV’s hottest awards show. What time are the 2018 VMAs?

The show will kick off on Monday, Aug. 20, at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT on MTV.

Can you live stream the 2018 VMAs?

The VMAs will actually be streaming on MTV’s website — but you’ll need a cable login to access it. ET will also be live streaming on ETonline.com and on their Twitter and Instagram.

How long are the 2018 VMAs? 

Well, considering there is a red carpet and pre-show (with a performance by the Backstreet Boys!), viewers can expect the show to last roughly three hours. The red carpet should start around 6:30 p.m. ET, and the pre-show will begin at 8. The live show will start at 9:00 p.m. ET. Plus, Cardi B is scheduled to open the show, so we suggest you stick around. 

Where do the VMAs take place?

This year’s awards show will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
